Annual Reports

  • 2010 Annual Report

Temperatures reached record-breaking lows in Fiscal 2010, as The Southeast Alabama Gas District, our customers and our employees experienced our coldest winter on SEAGD record. Extreme weather conditions did not solely define our year, though. On the heels of a successful year in 2009, The Southeast Alabama Gas District had another strong year financially in Fiscal 2010. Again, we reached beyond the ordinary and the obvious to build our future. We maintained competitive rates for all SEAGD customers; we further fortified our system infrastructure; we forged a relationship with our local schools to provide relief in a time of uncertainty; we worked collaboratively with other public natural gas systems to impact federal and local legislation impacting our industry; and we capitalized on the strengths and skills of our employee team to make our success a reality. 2009 Annual Report

As we entered 2009, we were in a unique situation relative to many other companies throughout our service area, the state and country. We knew that barring any major weather events, we would have a relatively strong and successful year. And, we did. Our focus throughout Fiscal 2009 was on keeping rates as low as possible for all users, deliberate system maintenance, and consistent customer retention efforts. Gas Wells

    SEAGD in Production

Production from our gas wells in the Black Warrior Basin continue to produce beyond expectations. We are in the middle of a 100-well drilling project that will allow SEAGD to extend the production life of our natural gas wells in this area. These gas wells, along with other strategic gas purchasing mechanisms, allow SEAGD to consistently provide customers the best possible natural gas rates.
